A pre-preparation

1. Temperature control. The optimal temperature for growing tulips is 15-18 degrees. The maximum temperature should not exceed 22 degrees. The minimum temperature should not be lower than 8 degrees. Otherwise, it will stop growing. Night temperature control is recommended to be above 8 degrees. (Tulips are afraid of high temperatures and low temperatures. Too high a temperature will cause blind flowers. Short-term low temperature for the tulip does not affect. Will cause no longer grow. Delayed flowering)

2. Potting soil selection. Potted tulips need to choose a permeable. Choose a well-drained substrate. It is recommended to use an even mix of 7;3 of charcoal and perlite. In some areas, a small amount of garden soil (up to 20%) can also be added to prevent collapse. 3. Selection of seed balls and pots. For potted tulips, choose 12/14 or 14+ seedpods. Use 14crm bicolor pots.

B. Planting process

1. Shelling the seed bulbs upon arrival, we must first remove the outer skin of the seed bulbs. Especially the hard shell of the roots should be removed. Remove the side shoots

2. Planting firstly, put 1-2cm of soil in the bottom of the pot. Place the three seed balls in a triangle against the edge of the pot wall and place them upright in the pot. Then cover the seed balls with the prepared soil mixture. After the top bud is buried in the soil, cover with 1 - 2 cm of soil. (After potting, to prevent the bulbs from pushing up the seed bulbs when rooting. You can cover the surface of the seed bulb with a layer of sand to increase the reaction force) 3.-Watering The first two weeks after planting is the rooting stage. Keep the temperature at 9-12 degrees. After planting, water thoroughly once, so that the seed ball and the soil are in full contact, which is conducive to rooting.

4. Shade rooting process generally uses a double layer of 75% shade net (some regions in the north can also be used to shade the roots) shade for two weeks without seeing the light. After two weeks, remove one layer of shade netting. Allow the tulips to gradually see the light. After that, depending on the weather conditions and temperature. Adjust the shade net during the day.

5. Fertilization Generally speaking, foreign investors do not recommend the use of fertilizers for tulip cultivation. However, according to the experience of tulips in different parts of China, fertilizers are not necessary. In order to regulate the disease resistance of tulips and to improve the quality of the flowers. It is recommended to apply 2-3 times of water soluble fertilizer during the growing period. The first application is usually made when the first leaves are unfolded. The concentration is 1200 times. Once every 7-10 days. The second and third flushes should be at a concentration of 1000 times. The general fertilizer used is water-soluble calcium and magnesium nitrate.
